Engine Pictures
Alto’s engine has very low hours on it, and is in excellent condition. A diesel mechanic just replaced the impeller, oil, primary and secondary fuel filters on the main engine (November, 2019). Spare filters for oil, diesel fuel and the generator are included. Also, several spare zincs for each engine zinc (two in the engine, one on each trim tab and one on the prop) are included.

Alto has extensions on all seawater feeds reaching up to almost deck level to allow easy addition of antifreeze to the engine, genset and air conditioning units without having to disconnect hoses from the seawater strainers down deep in the engine compartment. Makes winterization a breeze that takes 20 minutes. BTW, you can see the black water waste tank below to the left, which in Alto’s case was repurposed to carry an extra 30 gallons of fresh water, since no septic tank is needed with the AirHead composting toilet.

Genset Pictures

Alto’s generator has about 12 hours on it and is in excellent condition. Both main engine and the generator have been gone through by a diesel mechanic for a checkup. Several spare zincs for the Yanmar engine that powers the Mase genset, shown below, are included.
